We help Organizations overcome
What do you do when you're stuck?
After change efforts have failed to produce, well, change; when a push to innovate has stagnated and status quo wins the day; when energy, ideas, and initiative have dried up, how do you overcome the drag of that moment? What do you do when you know there's a problem, but nothing you or an army of consultants try seems to move the boulder?
OCTANT8 is a catalyst.
We bring perspective, energy, clarity, language, creativity, strategy, and ideas to help ORGANIZATIONS understand their moment and Drive Forward Effective Solutions.
Getting unstuck starts with knowing your moment, knowing how you got here, and knowing where you want to go. Our work is to first help you understand what's really happening in this moment in your trajectory, and then articulate complex issues in simple, helpful language, and finally, create clear pathways forward.
Whether you're dealing with fundraising issues, board development concerns, strategic planning needs, capacity constraints, team challenges or simply know that you need to take the next step forward as an organization, we work with our clients to make sure the right solutions are uncovered and implemented.
We are expert generalists with skills and experience in dozens of fields. We connect the dots across fragmented and specialized verticals. We see what everyone else has seen, but think what no one else has thought.
We work as a team and we pick up a shovel to work alongside you. We ask lots of questions. And, We never assume we have the right answer the first time.
Most importantly, we love what we do and have fun doing it.
Who is Octant8?
OCTANT8 was founded by A PROFESSIONAL CULTURIST, award-winning, saxophonist, amateur poet, speaker, writer, and a mechanical engineer turned furniture designer, turned touring rock musician, turned inventor, turned business consultant.
Kevin has played saxophone all over the world, from Texas to Thailand. As a cultural generalist, he's lectured at MIT and Baylor University, planned international conferences, published poetry, written essays on post-modernism in Latin-American politics, popcorn, and seersucker suits. He co-hosts a technology and culture podcast and can solve a Rubik’s Cube in under three minutes.
Bryan has designed Cadillacs, run an indie record label, directed an international arts non-profit, raised millions of dollars, lectured for MBA programs, and toured 45 states as the front man of a modern rock band. He's an inventor, product developer, entrepreneur, engineer, and corporate advisor. He is also an semi-professional cake maker and master furniture craftsman.
